Type II R medical facial surgical masks, non-reusable. They are recommended for use where it is not possible to maintain a minimum safety distance against contact, such as in the workplace, in crowded or public areas and in healthcare and hospital settings.

Compared to the Cara Comfort model, the elastic band is a thin, 3 mm circular section welded using ultrasonic technology.

Our Cara mask is tested to provide specific levels of protection against the penetration of saliva and other biological fluids through the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. The masks provide protection against the spread of influenza both by blocking droplets of respiratory secretions from the sick person wearing them and by preventing those same droplets or splashes of secretions or other biological fluids from reaching the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth.

Used primarily to create a barrier between the wearer’s mouth and nose, Cara masks have greater resistance to the projection (splashing) of body fluids onto the outer surface than Type I or Type II.

Once used, disposable masks should be disposed of immediately in a closed plastic bag in the recycling bin.

(3-layer composition: Melt-Blown high efficiency antibacterial filtering non-woven fabric enclosed in two layers of protective spunbound non-woven fabric; size: 17.2 x 9.8 cm. )
